CASA stands for Court Appointed Special Advocates for children, who are trained community volunteers appointed by a judge to speak on behalf of children in court who have been abused or neglected.

CASA helps judges decide the future of children who are in foster care and if they should remain in care, be returned home or even adopted. CASA works with children and judges to ensure their rights and to help decide what is best for them.

There are abused and neglected children in our community who need support. Become a volunteer! Make a contribution!

CASA volunteers come from a variety of backgrounds.  They include parents, school teachers, homemakers, business leaders, college students, and grandparents. All of these volunteers are responsible adults who care about children. No special experience is required. Volunteers are carefully screened and receive intensive training. They learn about courtroom procedures, the social service system, and the special needs of children who have been abused and neglected.  It only takes approximately 10 hours per month, which can make a huge difference in the life of  a child.  Find out more...
